Speech Featured in Dave Stewart's 'American Prayer' Video

Hey y'all, When Dave Stewart, of 'Eurythmics' fame reached out to celebrity friends throughout the United States to participate in creating this moving video tribute for the song he wrote with U2's Bono, Speech immediately agreed, once again lending his support to the only true candidate of change, Barack Obama. Senator Obama's message has unified millions of Americans, as well as people throughout the world, to work together in establishing hope and promise as undeniable and basic rights for all. As you will see, Dave's 'American Prayer' video deftly captures the essence of this crucial notion. Joining Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker, Whoopi Goldberg, Cyndi Lauper, Barry Manilow, Joan Baez, Macy Gray, Joss Stone, Jason Alexander and others, Speech asks that you use the power of your voice and vote to make this vision a reality in November. He stated that "We cannot let the true American prayer die because of McCain and Bush's fear tactics and war mongering". To see the video click on the blog title above. Please share it with everyone who understands that change is our only hope.

beautiful, althougr h none of those celebs or the images are WHY I am so pro Obama, I am for him because he is right for our country, and our only saving grace. Talk to people, don't wage war.

entertianing, I doubt hes going to win though. This countries long since been bought and payed for by the rich international business interests, they comtrol everything. Even if he did get into office, american politics is too complex. Most real change takes place on a local, state government level. Although the prospect of a milatto president is entrigueing, and exciting as well, I personally dont know where barack's head is at, I know how chicago politics work, its a shady business. Its all going to end soon anyway, enjoy what youve got while you have it.

i dont disagree with the fact that its time for the racist white house to let somebody besides arians run the building, but are you guys aware of any of the bills and laws that have been signed by this guy????(like the one where they are trying to bring a pseudo military police to the streets as a matter of fact the bill has already been signed) how about how in the world are they going to fix the dollar..??? you cant have a nation of people in office buildings doing didly squat and expect it to survive

Socialism is far from what Obama is advocating, only extremist even try to make that connection. We already have govt. run firemen, police departments, armed forces etc. And btw/ NOBODY fends for themselves, that is such a arrogant theory to me. Not one person can boast that they have gotten ANYWHERE on their own! We all need help, that is simply a fact of life. However, I do like your idea of kids working more, I sure wnat my two to clean up and help out around our house! :-) Respect but disagree. SPEECH

Socialism is a TERRIBLE idea!!! We should get rid of our socialist schools and postal services to avoid being complete hypocrites...its better when everyone has to fend for themselves with no support. If your parents can't afford kindergarten you can just get a job.

Dr. King is one of my heroes. I grew up in a racially charged area and saw first hand the need for his leadership. I love his inclusion in his video. Werd

Loved it! I even got a little teary eyed

Well for one I do not support Obama. So this video is not appealing. His slogan word "change" is interesting. Yea change to socialism/communism? I believe he is totally unqualified to be president.

I left a comment on your bulletin last week (I wish I could watch your video by the way, my computer is down and wont play audio, but Im sure I love it lol) and I want to make something clear...
My comment was an (obviously poor) attempt at sarcasm. I feel like I may have offended you (and probably a few other folks) by not being sincere. Not only do I love Obama (Ive been following him since 2005 and CRIED when I opened my e-mail announcement in 2007!) but I (personally) have ZERO problem with Socialism (in its purest form). I like the idea of every human being treated human and people getting the help they need and deserve (regardless of all the little unimportant things that are invisible to God).
Im a full time student who lives off student loans and grants, I have HUD to help pay my rent and Food Stamps to make sure we get enough food each month. Without these things I wouldnt be able to keep up my 3.8 GPA, I wouldnt have the time to focus on my 7 month old son so he doesnt grow up in Day care, my husband and I wouldn't be able to continue to eat healthy organic foods AND we would hardly have any time to spend with each other and maintain our relationship or our home. We are determined to use all this help as STEPPING STONES so we have the opportunity to help other people one day, we know we would be struggling to survive without it. I would hate to feel like I said or did something that seemed like I didnt truly appreciate all these things.
I know you've probably forgotten my comment, but it still bugs me to feel like I misrepresented myself. Thanks for wading through my rambling...=)
